# What people couldn't find

**Write this next** shows what people looked for and didn't find, so you know which page to write. It sits on the [Analytics](https://markdrop.in/dashboard/analytics) home board, under **Insights**.

## Who sees it

You see **Write this next** if you're an owner or admin of a workspace, or if you have Guides of your own. Members and viewers don't see it. If you run more than one workspace, pick one from the list next to the title.

## What goes into it

From the last 30 days:

- Searches in the workspace that found nothing.
- Searches that found something nobody opened.
- Questions people asked a guide's Ask AI that it couldn't answer, for the workspace's guides (or your own guides).
- Searches in a guide that found nothing.

Claude Haiku 5.5 groups these into up to 5 topics, the most asked first. Each topic shows:

- A page title, and how many times people looked for it (searches and questions).
- Why it matters, in one line, and a few of the things people typed.
- **Outline**: the sections the page should cover.

Markdrop counts the searches itself; the AI only groups them. It appears once there are at least 5 searches or questions to work with.

## Start a page from it

Choose **Create page from this outline**. Markdrop creates a page in that workspace (or in your own pages, for personal Guides) with the title, the outline's headings and a **Questions people asked** list, and opens it for editing. Nothing is created until you choose it.

## Privacy

Searches are kept without who searched them: no account, no IP address. Typing a longer version of the same search updates one record, so typing isn't recorded letter by letter. Searches that look like an email address or a long number aren't kept. Records are deleted after 90 days. See [Privacy at Markdrop](https://docs.markdrop.in/security/privacy#what-searching-a-workspace-records).

Only the search text and counts are sent to the AI. It counts towards your AI limits, and it doesn't run in a workspace where AI is turned off.

## From your AI assistant

The `content_gaps` MCP tool returns the same topics with Markdown ready for `create_page`. See [MCP tools](https://docs.markdrop.in/ai/tools).
