# What changed (AI)

`GET https://api.markdrop.in/api/v1/me/analytics/ai/story`

Insights for the analytics home: a `headline` and 3 to 5 `bullets`, each a sentence on what changed against the period before and the likely cause, with an `href` to the analytics page to look at (and `doc` when it's about one of your links). Claude Haiku 5.5 writes it from totals and your own titles only. Kept for the day (`cached: true`); `fresh=1` writes it again. `status` is `thin` when there are fewer than 20 views to go on, `limit` when an AI limit stops it (with `reason` and `message`), or `error`. Counts towards your AI limits.

- **Authentication:** API token required: `Authorization: Bearer mdk_…`.
- **Rate limit:** 30 per minute per IP address.
- **MCP tool:** `analytics_story` ([tools](https://docs.markdrop.in/ai/tools))
- **Guide:** [Insights and Ask](https://docs.markdrop.in/analytics/overview#insights-and-ask)

## Query parameters

- `range` (string): `7d` (the default), `30d` or `90d`. One of `7d`, `30d`, `90d`. One of `7d`, `30d`, `90d`. Default `"7d"`.
- `fresh` (integer): `1` writes it again instead of using today's copy. From 0 to 1. Default `0`.

## Responses

- `200`: OK.
- `401`: No token, or the token is revoked or mistyped.
- `422`: The request didn't validate. `detail` lists each problem, with where it is (`loc`) and why (`msg`).
- `429`: Too many requests from your IP address. Wait the seconds in `Retry-After`.
