# Open a shared folder

`GET https://api.markdrop.in/api/v1/folders/shared/{share_id}`

What a shared folder link shows: the folder, its subfolders and the documents in it that you can open. A folder shared with `workspace` access needs a member's token.

- **Authentication:** No token needed.
- **Rate limit:** 300 per minute per IP address.

## Path parameters

- `share_id` (string, required)

## Query parameters

- `path` (string): Up to 1,000 characters. Default `""`.

## Responses

- `200`: OK.
- `422`: The request didn't validate. `detail` lists each problem, with where it is (`loc`) and why (`msg`).
- `429`: Too many requests from your IP address. Wait the seconds in `Retry-After`.
