# Preview items anywhere

`POST https://api.markdrop.in/api/v1/me/previews`

Card previews (the start of a page or document, a file's first page or cells, a thumbnail) for items in any place you can open: your own, shared with you, in any workspace. Each answers `locked` unless you can open it right now, `encrypted` for end-to-end encrypted documents and `pending` while a picture is being made.

- **Authentication:** API token required: `Authorization: Bearer mdk_…`.
- **Rate limit:** 240 per minute per IP address.

## Request body

`application/json`, required.

- `slugs` (array of string, required): 1–12 items.

## Responses

- `200`: OK.
- `401`: No token, or the token is revoked or mistyped.
- `422`: The request didn't validate. `detail` lists each problem, with where it is (`loc`) and why (`msg`).
- `429`: Too many requests from your IP address. Wait the seconds in `Retry-After`.
