# Tick one of your to-dos

`POST https://api.markdrop.in/api/v1/home/actions/tick`

Marks a to-do that @mentions you done (`- [ ]` becomes `- [x]`, found by its block id) through the normal save path, as you. Send `"done": false` to open it again. You need to be able to edit the page.

- **Authentication:** API token required: `Authorization: Bearer mdk_…`.
- **Rate limit:** 60 per minute per IP address.

## Request body

`application/json`, required.

- `slug` (string, required): 1–200 characters.
- `block` (string, required): Matches `^b-[0-9A-Za-z_-]{1,40}$`.
- `done` (boolean): false: open it again (Undo) Default `true`.

## Responses

- `200`: Done. Returns `{done}`.
- `401`: No token, or the token is revoked or mistyped.
- `403`: You can't edit the page, or the to-do doesn't mention you.
- `404`: The page or the to-do is gone, or you can't open it.
- `409`: It's already that way.
- `422`: The request didn't validate. `detail` lists each problem, with where it is (`loc`) and why (`msg`).
- `423`: Someone is editing the page.
- `429`: Too many requests from your IP address. Wait the seconds in `Retry-After`.
