# Ask a meeting

`POST https://api.markdrop.in/api/v1/meetings/{meeting_id}/ask`

Asks one meeting, as Server-Sent Events (`delta`, then `done` with the `answer` and its `citations`, or `limit` / `error`). The answer comes from the meeting's transcript (when you can open it) and its page, including edits, in English; citations open the transcript at that moment. `history` carries the last turns of the conversation (`{question, answer}`, up to 6). Counts towards Meetings AI.

- **Authentication:** API token required: `Authorization: Bearer mdk_…`.
- **Rate limit:** 30 per minute per IP address.

## Path parameters

- `meeting_id` (string, required)

## Request body

`application/json`, required.

- `question` (string, required): 1–600 characters.
- `history` (array of object): Up to 6 items.

## Responses

- `200`: OK.
- `401`: No token, or the token is revoked or mistyped.
- `422`: The request didn't validate. `detail` lists each problem, with where it is (`loc`) and why (`msg`).
- `429`: Too many requests from your IP address. Wait the seconds in `Retry-After`.
