# Run the import

`POST https://api.markdrop.in/api/v1/meetings/backfill/{job_id}/start`

Starts importing the included rows in the background, oldest first, one at a time, each with its AI summary (Meetings AI). Every included row needs a date (422 otherwise). It keeps going when the page is closed. When today's (or the month's) Meetings AI budget runs out it waits (`state: waiting`) and carries on by itself when the budget resets.

- **Authentication:** API token required: `Authorization: Bearer mdk_…`.
- **Rate limit:** 20 per minute per IP address.
- **Guide:** [Import past meetings](https://docs.markdrop.in/workspaces/meetings-import#import-past-meetings)

## Path parameters

- `job_id` (string, required)

## Responses

- `200`: OK.
- `401`: No token, or the token is revoked or mistyped.
- `422`: The request didn't validate. `detail` lists each problem, with where it is (`loc`) and why (`msg`).
- `429`: Too many requests from your IP address. Wait the seconds in `Retry-After`.
