# Turn my Slack notifications on or off

`PUT https://api.markdrop.in/api/v1/slack/me/notifications`

`{"on": true}` turns on your own Slack notifications and looks you up by your Markdrop sign-in email in each connected Slack workspace; `results` says per workspace: `matched`, `linked` (already), `not_found`, `taken` (that Slack account is linked to another Markdrop account), `needs_update` (an admin must update the app's permissions), `token` or `error`, with a sentence to show. Nothing about any other email. 409 when none of your workspaces has Slack connected. `{"on": false}` turns them off; your Slack link stays.

- **Authentication:** API token required: `Authorization: Bearer mdk_…`.
- **Rate limit:** 10 per minute per IP address.
- **Guide:** [Slack notifications](https://docs.markdrop.in/integrations/slack#slack-notifications)

## Request body

`application/json`, required.

- `on` (boolean, required)

## Responses

- `200`: OK.
- `401`: No token, or the token is revoked or mistyped.
- `422`: The request didn't validate. `detail` lists each problem, with where it is (`loc`) and why (`msg`).
- `429`: Too many requests from your IP address. Wait the seconds in `Retry-After`.
