# Set your status

`PUT https://api.markdrop.in/api/v1/team/{workspace_id}/me/status`

Your own status (`text` up to 80 characters, an optional `emoji`, and `until`, when it clears): it replaces the status Team works out, for everyone, until then. An empty `text` and no `emoji` clears it. A status that says you're away (leave, holiday, out of office…) is never shown as quiet.

## Path parameters

- `workspace_id` (string, required): The workspace's id, from the address of its settings page (`markdrop.in/settings/workspaces/<workspace-id>`) or from [List workspaces](https://docs.markdrop.in/api/workspaces/list-workspaces).

## Request body

`application/json`, required.

- `text` (string): Up to 180 characters. Default `""`.
- `emoji` (string): Up to 16 characters.
- `until` (string (date-time)): When it stops applying (ISO time); none: until cleared. ISO 8601, for example `2026-11-30T12:00:00Z`.

## Responses

- `200`: OK.
- `401`: No token, or the token is revoked or mistyped.
- `422`: The request didn't validate. `detail` lists each problem, with where it is (`loc`) and why (`msg`).
- `429`: Too many requests from your IP address. Wait the seconds in `Retry-After`.
