# List the trash

`GET https://api.markdrop.in/api/v1/trash`

What you can restore: your own deleted documents, pages, files and folders, and everything deleted from workspaces you administer. Newest first; a folder deleted with its contents is one row. Items stay 30 days.

- **Authentication:** API token required: `Authorization: Bearer mdk_…`.
- **Rate limit:** 120 per minute per IP address.
- **MCP tool:** `list_trash` ([tools](https://docs.markdrop.in/ai/tools))
- **Guide:** [Trash](https://docs.markdrop.in/documents/trash)

## Query parameters

- `workspace` (string): Only what was deleted from this workspace (its id). Up to 64 characters.

## Responses

- `200`: OK.
- `401`: No token, or the token is revoked or mistyped.
- `422`: The request didn't validate. `detail` lists each problem, with where it is (`loc`) and why (`msg`).
- `429`: Too many requests from your IP address. Wait the seconds in `Retry-After`.
