Automatic covers for pages, and 32 new covers

A new page gets a cover picked for what it's about, from 44 calm covers now. Remove it in one click and it never comes back; workspace admins can turn Auto covers off.

  • Web app
  • MCP server
  • New pages get one of Markdrop's covers by themselves: AI reads the title and the first lines and picks one, or the page's words are matched when AI is off. It fades in a moment after the page opens. An untitled, empty page gets its cover once you've named it and started writing.
  • 32 new covers, for roadmaps, meetings, releases, research, design, runbooks, people, finance, marketing, legal, support, data, security, docs and more, in a new Shapes group. Pick for me in the cover picker chooses one for the page.
  • An automatic cover says Auto when you hover it. Remove is one click, and a removed cover is never added back. A duplicate keeps its original's cover; templates and encrypted pages never get one.
  • Auto covers on the workspace settings' Advanced tab, next to AI features, turns it off for a workspace.
  • Pages made before this got a cover the same way, once.
  • MCP: create_page picks a cover (auto_cover, default true) and says which in cover; set_page_properties with cover: "auto" picks one again. See Automatic covers.
