markdrop mcp, a local MCP server in the CLI, lets Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and VS Code share and receive files peer to peer.

Add markdrop mcp to an AI app on your computer and ask it to "share these three PDFs" or "download this share link into ~/Projects".

share_files, share_status, stop_share and receive_share run on your machine; files go straight to the recipient.
Well-known secret locations such as ~/.ssh and .env files are refused.
markdrop send and get now use a relay when a direct connection between networks isn't possible.
On the hosted server, list_shares and get_share_status show your shares and check a share link.
