Gemini's notes always arrive, every 5 minutes, and Check for new meetings

Automatic import (Connect Google Meet) no longer misses a call whose Gemini notes were sent while the meeting was still on: the Google Meet script version 4 sends a Doc again when Google fills it in or changes it, and the meeting is updated instead of duplicated. It now runs every 5 minutes, and Check for new meetings on the Meetings page runs it right away. Update your script (Meetings › Get the new script) to get it.

  • Not ready yet. Gemini makes its notes Doc when note-taking starts and writes the notes when the call ends. An empty or placeholder Doc is now answered not ready and sent again as soon as Google changes it (for 12 hours), instead of being ignored for good. The Meetings page shows "1 meeting waiting for Gemini's notes" meanwhile.
  • Changes come through. A Doc changed after it was imported (notes filled in or edited, a longer transcript) updates its meeting: new notes, the Transcript page rewritten, the page written again when nobody edited it (else the new notes are added at the end) and the summary written again. At most 5 times per Doc; a deleted meeting isn't made again.
  • Every 5 minutes instead of 15, and a Doc is sent once Google hasn't changed it for 5 minutes (was 10).
  • Upgrading catches up. Version 4's first run sends once more the Docs version 3 sent in the last 48 hours, so a meeting that was missed arrives (the ones already imported are recognized).
  • Check for new meetings. On the Meetings page (the ⋯ menu on phones, and Home's Meetings section): the connected scripts run at once and Markdrop says what arrived. Turn it on once by deploying the script as a web app and pasting its URL (Meetings › Turn on Check now). Any member can press it, once a minute per workspace. New MCP tool check_meetings_now; API POST /api/v1/meetings/check-now and PUT /api/v1/meetings/connection/check-now.
