Everyone gets their own action items in Slack after a meeting

When a meeting's summary is ready, each attendee with an action item gets one direct message from Markdrop in Slack with only their own to-dos and due dates, members of the workspace and people who aren't. Members get Open the notes and a Done button; everyone else gets the item text and who to ask for the notes. Every message has Stop these.

  • Web app
  • API
  • MCP server
  • Who. An item belongs to the person it starts with, who must have been in the meeting (an attendee, on Gemini's invite list, or the organizer) (an @mention, or a name like "Ravi Kumar will …"). Markdrop finds them by their linked Slack account, by email (their Markdrop address or the one Google's notes gave; needs the app's updated permissions), or, last, by an exact name only one person in Slack has (never for a restricted meeting).
  • What. "Your action items from Daily Syncup · Nov 6", a checklist with due dates ("by Friday" shown as its date). Members: Open the notes, and Done (ticks the item on the page as them, like the channel post's Done) when they can edit. Others: their items and "Notes are in Markdrop (ask the organizer for access)".
  • How often. One message per person per meeting, a minute after the summary; items ticked in that minute are left out; meetings ready in the same minute share one message, a later one gets its own. Not for past meetings brought in quietly or meetings more than a day old.
  • Turning it off. Stop these in any message (by Slack account, so people outside Markdrop can too; Turn back on undoes it), Settings › Account › Slack notifications › Action items after meetings for members, and Workspace settings › Integrations › Slack for admins, with a preview of the next message.
  • AI apps. The MCP tool slack_status says whether it's on for the workspace and for you.
