AI in pages: rewrite, draft, summarize, translate, and ask a page questions

Pages have AI built in. Editors rewrite a selection, draft with /ai, turn notes into a page, find action items, summarize, translate a whole page and get alt text. Signed-in readers can ask a page questions.

  • Web app
  • MCP server
  • Ask AI on a selection (or ⌘ J): improve, shorten, fix spelling and grammar, change tone, translate, turn into a checklist or a table, explain. Every result is a suggestion you accept or discard.
  • /ai on an empty line drafts in the page's own blocks, with the page in mind. New page › Start from notes turns pasted notes into a structured page.
  • In the page's ⋯ menu: Summarize page (a Summary note at the top), Find action items (to-dos with person and date chips), Suggest title & icon and Translate…, which makes a translated copy next to the page and leaves the original as it is.
  • Images you upload get suggested alt text.
  • ✦ Ask for signed-in readers: questions about the page, answered from it and from the embedded items you can open, with links to the sections they use. It works on a workspace's own domain too.
  • No AI for visitors who aren't signed in or for encrypted documents. Admins can turn AI features off for a workspace.
  • Only the text a request needs goes to Anthropic, and Markdrop keeps usage counts, never the text. Fair use during the beta: 30 requests a minute and 300 a day per person.
  • The same writing tools in the Markdrop Guides editor, and three new MCP tools: translate_page, summarize_page and suggest_page_meta. See AI in pages.
