Fixes and polish: locked pages for admins, iPhone toolbar, templates and more

Workspace admins can edit, lock and unlock locked pages, the page editor's phone toolbar works on iPhones, a page you leave is free for others at once, and a round of smaller fixes.

  • Web app
  • Admins and locked pages. A workspace admin can now edit a locked page in the editor, and lock or unlock it, as Lock page always said ("Only you and workspace admins can edit").
  • The phone toolbar on iPhones. The page editor's toolbar above the keyboard works on iPhones and iPads (its buttons did nothing). Its + adds a block with the block menu open, and / opens the block menu in the middle of a line.
  • Leaving a page frees it. Closing or leaving a page you were editing lets others edit it straight away, instead of two minutes later.
  • No more "Opening document" forever on a page that needs sign-in.
  • Templates. Renaming a template in Manage templates no longer also makes a blank page; double-clicking a template makes the page from that template; Add a sub-page offers your workspace's templates too; the note on a template page fits on phones.
  • Change link… keeps the slug you're typing in view, with the full address shown below it.
  • Version history. A restore that waits on someone's editing always says who; the selected version has a quieter outline, and a phone's version screen doesn't repeat the time.
  • Exports. An exported HTML file uses the app's reading width, with tables in a rounded box, and a PDF keeps a coloured block's colour. Downloads stay in the tab you're in, even with a pop-up blocker extension installed.
  • A document that used to be a page no longer shows its page settings as text at the top, and its owner and editors get the Switch back to the page editor banner.
  • Quick search (⌘ K) shows each item's kind and link before where it is, and a workspace's grid tiles and cards show each item's kind, so a page and a file with the same title are easy to tell apart.
  • AI. Clear messages when Markdrop's daily or monthly AI capacity is used up. On phones the AI sheet takes the focus and closes with Esc, and the AI button is its ✦. The workspace's AI features switch links to AI in pages and says what's sent.
  • Beta badges. Pages carry a Beta label wherever they're introduced.
  • On a workspace's own domain, the … on markdrop.in links in a page's ⋯ menu no longer show a doubled arrow.
