Folder and workspace links unfurl with a card, and every Markdrop link has one

Paste a link to a workspace or a folder into Slack, WhatsApp or iMessage and it now unfurls with a card: its name, the workspace and how many items it holds. Every other markdrop.in link gets a Markdrop card too, and a private folder's card names nothing.

  • Web app
  • Folders and workspaces. Links to a workspace or a folder (markdrop.in/w/…) and folder share links (markdrop.in/f/…) unfurl with a card: the folder's name, "A folder in Acme" and how many items are in it, or the workspace's name and its item count, in the workspace's brand.
  • Names only when a stranger could see them. A card names a folder or workspace only when someone who isn't signed in could already see that name: a folder shared with anyone with the link, or a folder or workspace listed on the workspace's own domain. Every other one gets a card that says only "A folder in a Markdrop workspace" (or "A Markdrop workspace") and "Sign in to open it": no folder, workspace or domain name.
  • A cover on every link. Any markdrop.in address without a card of its own, like the home page, New document or the README builder, now shows a Markdrop card instead of a bare link. Send-files links (markdrop.in/share/…) get a file-transfer card.
