Import a meeting from a Google Drive link; Organizer is who ran the call; 1:1s stay private

Paste links to a call's Google Docs to import it: Markdrop reads a Doc shared with anyone with the link, and your Google Meet script fetches a private one. A meeting's Organizer is now who ran it (the Doc's owner in Drive), not who imported it, and 1:1s and two-person calls are restricted to their attendees on import.

  • Web app
  • MCP server
  • API
  • Drive link in the import dialog: paste one or more Google Docs or Drive links. Shared with "anyone with the link": imported right away. Private, with your Google Meet script connected here: Queued, fetched with your own Google access within 15 minutes. Otherwise Markdrop says how to give access.
  • Organizer and Imported by are separate. Organizer is the Google Doc's owner in Drive (Google saves a call's Docs in the organizer's Drive), or who pasted text names ("Organizer: …"); otherwise it stays empty, never the importer. Details shows both; the page's Organizer property can be changed. Meetings imported earlier are corrected where Google said who owns the Doc.
  • 1:1s and two-person calls are restricted to their attendees when they're imported, on every path (manual, automatic, links, AI apps). Meetings of three or more stay with the team. Switch either way in Details.
  • Answers about meetings are steadier. An answer can no longer come back empty or cut off when a question spans many meetings (Catch me up in Ask Markdrop could). Asking across meetings also reads the lines that name what the best match names (ask which email provider was chosen, and the line where someone takes on the migration comes too), and each quoted line backs only what it says.
  • Google's closing line stays out of the transcript. "Transcription ended after …" is no longer added to the last thing someone said.
  • Covers. Every meeting page has a cover from the gallery: one per series, so all the "Daily Syncup" meetings look alike, and a general one for one-offs. Meetings imported earlier get theirs too. A cover you chose or removed stays as you left it.
  • One item per meeting. A meeting's Transcript no longer shows as a second item in folder views, folder counts and search. A word only said in the call finds the meeting page. The transcript is still under the meeting in the sidebar and linked from the page.
  • One series per name. "Daily Syncup" and "Daily Sync Up" are one series (case, spaces and punctuation don't count). Organize meetings files meetings you already have, transcripts included, puts both spellings together and says how many meetings and series there are.
  • Sort by meeting date. The Meetings page lists meetings by the day they happened, newest first, and can sort by oldest, title or recently imported. Your choice is remembered on the device.
  • MCP import_meeting takes drive_url. API: POST /api/v1/meetings/import-link and GET /api/v1/meetings/import-link.
