A mention you remove within a minute is never sent

Mentioned the wrong person? Remove the mention and save: their unread bell entry goes, and the email, phone notification or Slack message that was waiting is dropped. Mentions and sign-off requests now wait a minute before ringing a phone or sending a Slack message.

  • The bell: an unread notification for a mention you removed disappears when the page saves. One the person already read stays.
  • Email, push and Slack are checked again just before they go: a mention no longer on the page sends nothing. Push and Slack messages for mentions and sign-off requests wait a minute (email already did), so a quick fix never buzzes anyone. Shares and access requests keep their timing.
  • Putting it back the same day doesn't ring twice when something already reached them.
  • Sign-off requests are taken back the same way when you remove the sign-off block or the person on it.
