On a document

#

The bar above a document has:

  • Copy link: copies the address. For an encrypted document, it includes the key.
  • Edit: shown to the owner, to people who can edit it, and to whoever holds the edit secret in this tab. Everyone else finds Edit in More actions, where it asks for the edit secret.
  • Share: shown to the owner, and to people allowed to share it on. See Share with specific people.
  • Read full screen: hides everything but the text. Press F; press Esc to come back.
  • More actions: View raw, Export PDF, Save a copy (on other people's documents), Report and, on your own documents once you've connected Google, Publish to Google Docs.

Details lists when it was published, when it expires, its views and who can open it. On a wide screen it sits beside the text, with Contents built from the headings.

On a file

#

A file page has Copy link, Download, Read full screen, and More artifact actions. The owner's menu has Share, Settings and Delete artifact. Someone allowed to edit sees Replace file, and readers see Report.

Search and shortcuts

#

Press ⌘K (Ctrl K on Windows and Linux) anywhere in the app to search your files and jump to pages.

Single-key shortcuts like F for full screen are on by default. Turn them off under Settings › Keyboard shortcuts.
