Brand your workspace

2 min readUpdated Oct 30, 2026

Builds on Put your workspace on your own domain.

Branding makes your own domain look like yours: your name in page titles, your favicon in the browser tab, your logo and colour on pages and link preview cards. Anything you leave blank falls back to Markdrop's.

Branding shows on your own domains. Admins and the owner change it on the Look and domain tab of the workspace's settings. A preview on the right, How your links look, updates as you edit, on a light or dark background.

Names

#
  • Workspace name is what members see inside Markdrop. Up to 80 characters.
  • Site name on your pages is shown in the header and link previews on your domain, like Acme Docs. Up to 60 characters. Members also see it as the team's name, as in "Acme team".

Logo, colours and favicon

#
SettingWhat to know
FaviconPNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, under 2 MB. Resized to 128 pixels.
LogoSame file types and size. Shown on link preview cards and in your domain's header. Resized so its longest side is at most 512 pixels.
Logo backgroundThe ground behind your logo. Automatic follows the reader's theme. Pick Light for a dark logo, Dark for a light one, or Checker.
Accent colourButtons, links and highlights on your domain use it. Blank uses Markdrop's blue.
White-label preview cardsRemoves "Published with Markdrop" from cards and titles.

The favicon and logo save as soon as they upload. Everything else waits for Save changes in the bar at the bottom; Discard throws away unsaved edits.

Markdrop re-encodes every uploaded image as a fresh PNG and keeps only the pixels, so an animated GIF keeps only its first frame.

Logos drawn in white disappear on a light background. Check both themes in the preview, and set Logo background to Dark if you need to.

Viewer controls

#

Under Viewer, choose what readers get around a document on your own domain:

  • Full: visitors can leave full screen and see document details.
  • View only: no controls for signed-out visitors. The page is the document and nothing else.

This setting only ever applies on your own verified domains, never on markdrop.in.
